Meet the Team

Executive Bio of Vijai Parwani
Graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1992. He started his law practice with a boutique firm specializing in freight forwarding matters. In 1994 he joined a mid-sized firm where his principal areas of practice focused on Commercial Litigation and Corporate. He became a partner in 1996. In 2001, he started the firm of Parwani & Co.
In the field of commercial litigation, Vijai has conducted trials at the High Courts and Subordinate Court levels, as well as appeared before the Court of Appeal and the Strata Title Boards on points of law. He has also argued on numerous chamber matters touching on defamation, general contractual and commercial disputes, tenancy and other forms of real estate issues and hire purchase agreements. He has also advised on employment disputes.
Vijai also has an active insolvency practice. He has on numerous occasions had to consider nuances on both personal and corporate insolvency.
Vijai has authored the ‘Agency’ chapter of the Halsbury’s Laws of Singapore published in 2001. The Halsbury’s Laws of Singapore is the authoritative collection of all laws in Singapore as commissioned by the Honourable, The Chief Justice of Singapore and is currently working on a book on Debt Recovery for the layman
